 Now Hiring: 1099 Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (Tucson, AZ - Flexible Schedule)

Old Pueblo Specialty Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing mobile healthcare team as an independent contractor (1099). We proudly serve Southern Arizona communities with high-quality, compassionate wound care—right where it’s needed most.

Location: Tucson, AZ and surrounding areas
Job Type: 1099 / Independent Contractor
Schedule: Flexible — Set your own availability
Compensation: Competitive per-visit rate, paid promptly

Position Overview:

As a Wound Care NP, you will deliver direct, evidence-based wound care to patients in post-acute, home, and facility-based settings. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking autonomy, flexible hours, and meaningful patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform wound evaluations and ongoing wound care management

  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with referring providers

  • Perform debridement, compression therapy, and advanced dressing applications

  • Educate patients and caregivers on wound care and prevention

  • Document visits thoroughly using our secure EMR platform

  • Participate in case reviews and clinical quality assurance

Qualifications:

  • Active Arizona Nurse Practitioner License

  • Valid DEA license (or willingness to obtain)

  • Wound care experience preferred (WCC or similar certification a plus)

  • Must carry own malpractice insurance

  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to local sites

  • Strong communication and time management skills
